Key Stage 2 children had an inspiring talk from Dr. Mamatha Maheshwarappa who works with the UK Space Agency. She shared her fascinating journey with us - from a little girl in a primary school in India who had a passion and an interest in everything to do with space. She dreamed of working in space and, after many years of study and hard work, is now a scientist and engineer who leads a team responsible, amongst other things, for launching satellites.

She also shared with us, how she has undergone rigorous training to live and survive on the surface of other planets !

Dr. Maheshwarappa's visit was inspiring and fascinating - showing us all that if you have a passion for something and you work hard enough you can achieve your dream.
