St Swithuns CE Primary School

Nursery

Nursery is part of our Early Years Foundation Stage Unit called Saplings. We take children who are 3 before the 1st September for the academic year ahead. Often our Nursery children then feed into our two form entry Reception class depending on catchment for Reception start and are familiar with all Reception staff through sharing the outdoor classroom environment, sharing special experiences and celebrations together and our weekly Big Sing session as a whole unit.

Nursery is open Monday- Friday 9am-3pm. We offer full time fully funded 30 hour places under the Government scheme for all those eligible. As well as this, we offer 15 hour fully funded places. Children who opt for 15 hours can request a morning place 9am-12pm or an afternoon place 12-3pm. If they join us for the afternoon children are integrated into the Nursery lunch time routine and will require a packed lunch or a school dinner to be ordered. Additionally, children who are entitled to 15 hours fully funded can also opt to pay for additional sessions.

Mrs Sadler is our Nursery Manager who leads a wonderfully skilled team of Early Years Practitioners comprising of Mrs Collett, Mrs Mulcock and Miss Dighton.
