Year 4 Ukulele Concert
On Thursday 6th July, Year 4 took part in a ukulele concert - in front of family and friends - to celebrate everything they have learned during this year. Taught by Mrs Watts - from the Oxfordshire Music service - they have shown a lot of interest and enthusiasm for learning the ukulele. Throughout the year they have had a lot of fun learning the chords and songs and also learning some drum and rhythm parts to add to them. Some of their favourite songs, which were performed in the concert have been Best Day of My Life, Can’t Stop the Feeling, Good to Be Alive, Rockin’ Robin, Rock Around the Clock and When I’m Gone ( The Cups Song ). The chords they have learned so far are C, C7, F, G7, Am, Am7 and Dm and G. We have also learned about the music elements of rhythm, pitch, dynamics and pulse through our start activities, songs and videos. The concert for family and friends at the end of term certainly showed off how well they have done. Well done everyone!
