Rowan Science Trip to Abingdon School

We enjoyed a trip to Abingdon School to be scientists. As soon as we walked in we put on lab coats and protective glasses. One of us said ‘ I’m a real scientist, I can’t wait to get started.’ Another said ‘ this is terrific seeing the science happen!’ We have been learning about healthy eating so we learnt about energy in food by burning different foods and investigating what this told us about the energy in them. It was exciting when the teachers showed us this with sugar as it created a huge flame!
