The joys of poetry were brought to the fore this last week, when the whole school recognised National Poetry Day on Thursday, followed by a wonderful celebration of verse on Friday afternoon.  We were all treated to a poem from every year group around the theme of play (...mud featured a lot!).  Classes worked incredibly hard learning poems and actions by heart, and the children recited these beautifully, with great clarity and expression.  Well done all - a joyful moment to round off the week!
