KS1 Fire Visit

We had a very exciting visit from the fire service last week. They showed us their fireproof clothing and told us what to do in an emergency. The children practised shouting to get their families attention and to dial 999 and ask for the fire service. We practised stop, drop and roll which is what the children are doing on the floor in this photo. On the second part of their visit we got to see the fire engine! We looked at the equipment, climbed on board to see inside and had a turn squirting the hose. Some of the staff cars made good targets!
