Cosmic Cats Book Launch

Over the past six months, we have worked with the Nasio Trust, an Abingdon-based charity which works to empower communities in western Kenya to break the cycle of poverty, together with Sylvia Vetta and Paul Gamble – to write Cosmic Cats. The brainchild of Sylvia Vetta, a resident of Kennington, Cosmic Cats is a collection of short stories about cats written by children at St Swithun’s Primary School and Mumias Township Primary School in Kenya. Cosmic Cats will be the first book on the shelves of a library currently being built at the school. The book was launched as part of our celebrations of World Book day with illustrator, Korky Paul, and author, Julia Golding, and we were delighted to be able to have a live link with the children in Kenya so that we could wave and express our thanks to each other.
